A new definition of urban style: "Honey Suite" by Gisbert Pöppler
Looking into the future of interior design and urban life, Architectural Digest invited Germany's ten leading design studios. The commission: fill a house in Munich-Schwabing designed by Dutch star architect Ben van Berkel with style and life. Each studio designed one of the ten apartments entirely freely and without creative limits. The outcome: extraordinary concepts that altogether redefine living, working and living in urban environments.
Star designer Gisbert Pöppler christened his design the "Honey Suite": While three beehives on the roof terrace invite you to urban gardening, the interior is dominated by subtle colors from nature: soft beige, reminiscent of fresh honey, or the soft old pink of a sea of flowers. It is surrounded by naturally warm wood tones and combined with extravagant color highlights, as known by Gisbert Pöppler.
In terms of equipping his design with cutlery and tableware, Pöppler decided to collaborate with Robbe & Berking. The choice fell on the clear lines and timelessly beautiful shapes of the Robbe & Berking Alta collection, designed by the legendary silversmith Wilfried Moll. Other accessories are from KPM, Le Manach and Fernmob, among others.An extraordinary project, which redefines the current state of the art of living.
