Special edition with a special shine
"What is good must also be beautiful." This was the credo of Wilhelm and Karl Maybach in the early 20th century. Father and son, they were seen as gifted designers and trailblazers in automotive luxury and pioneers of style. With a simple-sounding formula, they created highly complex things: perfection and craftsmanship teamed with innovation, both technically and in terms of workmanship. This is what the Maybach name stands for to this day. The Mercedes-Maybach brand continues to evolve, with new models - and soon also electric models.
Mercedes-Maybach unveiled the "Concept EQS" at the IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich, giving a preview of the first fully electric series-production model available from 2023. This SUV will be based on the modular architecture for luxury and luxury-class electric vehicles from Mercedes-Benz. In celebration of its 100th birthday, Mercedes-Maybach presents the "Edition 100": a special edition of the current S-Class and GLS models, each limited to 100 pieces.
Also making its debut in this centenary year is a special edition champagne flute from silver manufacturer Robbe & Berking. It features the Maybach logo in relief on the base and an exquisitely engraved Maybach "100 Years" logo. The Flensburg-based company also lovingly creates matching water tumblers or highball cups for connoisseurs and lovers of classic cars. Not just for Mercedes-Maybach owners.
Their passion for travel and beauty brings them together: "The large and small masterpieces of both companies are among the finest of their kind in the world. In both production plants, unique pieces with a timeless elegance are crafted from carefully selected materials. This perfection inspires intense feeling in collectors and customers all over the world", says Oliver Berking, managing director of Robbe & Berking Silbermanufaktur seit 1874 GmbH & Co. KG

Robbe & Berking
The silver manufacturer Robbe & Berking was founded in 1874 and is still a pure family business today – now in its 5th generation.
Manu Factum – made by hand – is everything that bears the name of the company. The master silversmiths in the silver manufactory and the master boat builders in the Robbe & Berking yacht manufactory are responsible for the unrivalled quality worldwide. It is not the limited possibilities of rational large-scale production, but the hands of the master craftsmen and women alone that determine the form and quality of each piece of work.
This is how cutlery and tableware of timeless elegance and beauty are created, which never just follow passing fashions or trends, but are made to last for generations. As the market leader in silver cutlery, Robbe & Berking is a supplier to the world's finest businesses.
